worth.
Saving and Investing: This class teaches how to set goals for
today and tomorrow by saving and investing 10% of your earnings. It also
teaches you how to save for emergencies and why you should have an
emergency fund.
Identity Theft: This class teaches why its important top protect
important information, and how to take quick action if information is
accidentally disclosed or deliberately stolen.
Marriage and Money: Learn how to date your mate inexpensive, how
to talk to your mate about saving, budgeting and preparing for the
future.
Rebuilding Good Credit: This class is designed to show
participants how to begin improving credit; what is a credit history and
why it is important; how poor credit can prevent you from financing a
car, getting a good job or buying a house.
Financial Fitness$$: This class teaches about three key financial
areas (Cash Management, Risk Management and Retirement Planning) to
explore before leaving the military.
Financial Planning (Deployment): The purpose of this program is
to get you prepared for deployment. This time can be exciting as well as
stressful; however the more prepared, the less stress you would likely
to experience.
Debt Traps and How to Avoid Them: This class discuss and explain
the three warning signs of too much debt and the three factors affecting
the cost of debt.
Using Credit Wisely: Learn why credit is important and how it can
help reach goals. Also explains the three C's: Character, Capacity and
Collateral.
Car Buying Techniques: Discuss and explain the three deals of car
buying: The Purchase, the Financing and the Trade-in. Also discuss how
to research a fair price for a car.
Housing Hurdles: This class defines housing "wants" versus
"needs", the importance of research and preparation in buying a house,
how much house is affordable.
Consumer Awareness: This class covers the smart buying decision
process, knowledge of consumer rights, and identifying consumer
resources.
Insurance: Discuss and identify the primary purpose of insurance,
the four elements of automobile insurance and the process for
determining life insurance needs.
Banking and Financial Services: This class discuss different
types of checking accounts and how to manage them. Also explain state
and military ramification of bounced checks.
Money and the Move: Understanding travel pay and allowances, how
to financially plan for transfers and different resources.
